Foundation repair involves addressing structural issues in your home’s foundation, ensuring it remains stable and secure. Over time, factors like soil movement, water damage, and natural wear can lead to cracks, settling, or uneven floors. Left untreated, these problems can escalate, compromising the safety of your home and leading to costly repairs. Foundation repair restores the integrity of your property, protecting it from further damage and preserving its value.
Foundation repair is essential for homeowners noticing signs of structural distress, such as cracks in walls, sticking doors or windows, or sagging floors. It’s also a critical service for homes in areas prone to soil shifting or heavy rainfall, which can weaken the foundation over time. Whether you’re addressing visible issues or seeking to reinforce your home’s stability proactively, foundation repair is a vital step in maintaining a safe and durable living environment.

2024 Water Intrusion Repair
A church in South Amboy contacted us to investigate water intrusion at their daycare building. Our inspection revealed significant vertical and horizontal cracking in the basement wall of one classroom. We determined the wall was failing due to hydrostatic pressure, exacerbated by the adjacent parking lot.
Using a radar scanner, we confirmed the 20-foot wall lacked rebar, a common characteristic of foundations built before 1980. Essentially, basement walls act as retaining walls, and without reinforcement like rebar or tie-backs, they are prone to failure.
To remedy this, we installed helical pier tie-backs, driven beneath the parking lot, with rods extending through the foundation wall and secured to a steel whaler. We also applied carbon fiber reinforcement straps to the wall’s interior for added tensile strength. Finally, an interior drainage system was installed to collect water passing through the block wall.
This combined approach stabilized the wall, preventing further movement and water intrusion.
